Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SaleCast is run by Blue Hatch LLC. This policy explains what information we collect when you sign up for and use SaleCast, and what we do with it. Questions: solutions@bluehatch.net.

2. What we collect

• Account details: business name, the names, emails and job roles of the people who log in, and your answers to the business profile questions (industry, kind of business, lot tracking).
• Business data you upload: sales history, product, customer and channel lists, inventory, open customer and purchase orders, and the settings and edits you make in SaleCast. These files can include customer names or codes that you choose to include.
• Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive your billing status, plan, billing email and Stripe customer reference. We never see or store full card numbers.
• Technical information: our hosting providers record basic request logs (such as IP address, browser type and time) for security and troubleshooting. Your login session is kept in your browser's storage so you stay signed in.

3. How we use it

• To run SaleCast for your business: store your files, make forecasts and plans, and show them to your team.
• To manage your account and billing, and to email you about your account, billing, security and important changes.
• To give support, keep the service secure, and fix problems.
• To improve SaleCast, including its forecasting methods, using data combined across businesses and de-identified so that no business, customer or person can be identified.

We do not sell personal information or business data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share one business's data with another.

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run SaleCast for us, and only for that purpose:

• Supabase — database, logins and server functions (hosted in the United States).
• Stripe — payments and billing.
• GitHub Pages — serves the SaleCast web pages.
• Google Fonts and jsDelivr — deliver fonts and standard code libraries to your browser; they receive your IP address when your browser loads them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or of Blue Hatch, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (with this policy continuing to apply).

5. Data about your customers

When your files contain information about your own customers or contacts, your business decides what to upload and why; we process it only on your instructions, to provide SaleCast to you.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and business data while your subscription is active. After it ends, we delete your business's data within 60 days, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it (for example, billing records). Backups roll off on their normal schedule.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, each business can only see its own data (enforced by the database itself), and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it to run SaleCast. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you promptly.

8. Your choices

• See and correct your account details in SaleCast, or ask us to.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing solutions@bluehatch.net. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law; we will honor them.
• Cookies: SaleCast does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

SaleCast is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 16.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way, we will email account holders before the change takes effect and update the date at the top.
